Thames Water Stakeholder Tour

Promohire was approached by Thames Water for the second year running to support their hugely successful training initiative.

Our media bus plays a key part in supporting the eight2O programme, which is transforming investment in water infrastructure.

The success of the programme relies on strong communication, so that key stakeholders are informed and engaged. As part of the communications plan, training and presentations are deemed an essential deliverable. But how can Thames Water get the right people, in the right place at the right time to hear what they need to say? Our media bus is the perfect solution, enabling the company to take key messages to them.

Due to complete in 2020, this £2bn+ initiative is bringing together the best possible combination of industry leading partners to deliver billions of pounds worth of essential work for Thames Water. The ultimate aim is to provide customers with the very best value for money, to ensure every penny invested delivers real value to the communities it serves.

Therefore, all stakeholders need to be aligned with the vision for this to be a success. Thames Water needed a consistent hub from which to deliver a wide-range of communications over the year to support this. Promohire offered a flexible arrangement to the client, which ensures the media bus is available whenever they need it for the year ahead, and is stored safely on their behalf in between events. We also provide a driver / event manager as part of the package, to get the media bus to its destination in time for its next slot on the schedule, and to manage the set-up before handing over to the presenter.

Thames Water wanted to reach out to employees and contractors in particular, to provide eight2O project updates, training module materials and safety demonstrations. The media bus is equipped with multiple screens to showcase interactive presentations to the team whilst they sit in comfort, giving flexibility to the presenter. Naturally, laptop ports, lighting and electrics are installed to ensure all facilities are available when required. We have also built in storage cupboards which come in useful for tidying away promotional materials and giveaways until you need them.

The media bus has a busy schedule travelling around the South East, which also provides a great branding opportunity. Promohire’s award winning team wrapped the media bus in the Thames Water livery, featuring branding inside and out to help create an inclusive experience for those entering this interactive environment. The activities implemented on-board the media bus proved very successful last year, achieving the objectives set. This immersive branded environment delivered the face-to-face engagement the client was looking for, and employees and contractors left more informed, confident and engaged. Repeating this for a second year, we wish them further success as the eight2O initiative continues!
